NPIC.gov.ng compiled a list of more than the top 5 agricultural export products in Nigeria which is determined by the estimated revenue generated by the products which have earned Nigeria about 289.3 billion naira in the span of 12 months (April 2019 – March 2020). This data was collected by the National Bureau of Statistics.
Below is the list of the top 5 agricultural export products in Nigeria:

Sesame Seeds
Sesame seeds was reported to have made over N39.6 billion in the first quarter of 2019 which leaves as
the biggest Agricultural export product in Nigeria. It was reported that there was a 17% increase in income in just Q1 2019. While at the end of QR a total of N33.8 billion in income was realized from the export of Sesame seeds. Meaning that in just one quarter there was a N5.7 billion increase in income.

Ginger
Ginger is ranked amongst the top 5 agricultural export products in Nigeria with a growing demand both in
and outside the shores of Nigeria. It has generated the sum of over N1.35 billion in export revenue in
Q1 2019. -
Cashew Nuts
Cashew Nuts made over N4.3 billion in the first quarter of 2019 which makes it amongst the top 5 agricultural export products in Nigeria. Export revenue made from cashew nuts was estimated at N5.8 billion at the end of
QR 2019.
The top biggest destinations for the export of this agricultural produce as a result of growing demand
includes Vietnam, India, the USA, Russia, and the Netherlands. Vietnam is the largest importer with the sum
of 2.8 billion, India (1.2 billion), USA (104 million), Russia (N42 million), and the Netherlands with N33.3
million respectively. -
Dried Pepper
This made the list as one of the top 5 agricultural export products in Nigeria and has had an impressive
run. This produce has amounted to an export revenue of up to $22 million in the year 2020.
